Revolut received its full UK banking licence in March 2026 and is migrating customers in batches. Until your account is migrated (Revolut notifies in-app), money is safeguarded e-money rather than FSCS-protected.

FSCS also covers temporary high balances (house sale, inheritance) up to £1.4m for six months (raised December 2025). Compensation is automatic if a firm fails — typically paid within seven days.
