Yes! You can switch to a cashback account using CASS and claim a switch bonus (if available), then continue earning cashback on your bills going forward. The switch bonus is a one-off payment, while cashback is ongoing.
This varies by account. Santander Edge pays cashback on energy, broadband, mobile, council tax, water, and insurance bills paid by direct debit. Zopa Biscuit offers cashback on all direct debits. NatWest Reward pays a flat £5/month regardless of bill type. Chase pays 1% on debit card spending only, not direct debits.
Chase offers 1% cashback on debit card spending for the first 12 months after opening. This applies to card purchases only, not direct debit payments. After 12 months the cashback ends, but the account remains fee-free. Check the Chase website for current terms.
